Eyesight

What would you do

if you knew that I could

see right through you-

           (I can, you know),

I can see your despair as

it floats out through your

dry eyes, as you attempt to

hide the cries- I can see the

reasons for your smiles and

for your lies- Oh, what would

you do if you knew that I-

that I can see through to

the real you, too?
